She was born March 29th 1985, in Roswell New Mexican. Gerina is the given name of her. Gerina Stevenson is a native of Mexico to Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. Stevenson is American and has Mexican-American heritage. From the time she was little, she's been very attracted to sports. Gerina took up golf when she reached the age of 15. Gerina went to Goddard High School. She won at the New Mexico State Golf Tournament during her time in high school. She also played volleyball at the state level. At the age of 2003, she was enrolled in the University of Texas. During her senior years she took home every single tournament she competed in. While in her university career, she was named Conference USA individual champion player of the year, and was named UTEP Female Athlete Of The Year.
